Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries or chocolate chips, peanut butter
  • Maple syrup for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Add berries or chocolate chips to the batter before flipping.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another minute until golden brown.
  7. Serve with maple syrup.

Notes

Feel free to add any fruits or nuts to the batter for a customized twist.
You can make the batter ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
